I liked this book cover redesign lesson as I was able to think outside the box. I think book publishing is still important, even as it becomes more digital, but it will still need an effective cover to attract the audience. I think it’s important for book designs to follow the main design principles, especially hierarchy, as it draws people in. We have learned that it’s very important to follow format dimensions, especially in the publishing industry, as it’s an expensive mistake if done wrong on the designer’s part. This ensures the most important information and features don’t get cut out in production. Nowadays, it’s easy to get books published by publishers like Amazon, but it can vary on the author’s preference. In the future this is very important to keep the design and information legible and easy to read for the audience.
