I have tried cyanotype, which was very new to me, so my result was far from perfect, mostly due to not putting weight on the organic materials to get nice prints. I felt rushed for time to lay out my materials due to the material being fast to be exposed. I believe this technique was used to create striking, mass-produced cameraless photograms of architecture and botanicals. Designers were able to layer typography on top of this to make a unique effect. I understand this is one technique of printmaking which is rarely seen today. It wasn’t my thing, but I’m glad I experimented with this in class, as it’s a delicate art expression.
